R.E.D. Women's Circle
R.E.D. is hosting a Women's Circle, prior to the R.E.D. Social that same day/evening. We intend to talk about the direction and intention in forming a Women's Circle, what we can do to support each other, ourselves and our community, how we can work with Red Earth Descendants to create a strong, united group of women! Since this is scheduled to begin an hour before the Social, we need to start on time (please arrive by 3:45 p.m. so we can begin promptly at 4) and end on time to greet the Social arrivals.
Whistling Elk Drum Trek to Colville Reservation
Whistling Elk Drum will once again make the long journey up to northeast Washington, to the Colville Reservation, to attend the Nespelem New Year's Pow Wow. The Drum is going to support relations made with friends and family there, to represent our community in a good way, and to sing for the People.

A New Tradition
As we move forward into another New Year, 2011, we'd like to start a new tradition and give acknowledgment, recognition and congratulations to people for various accomplishments in our community. We reach out to a very diverse population in R.E.D., and we'd like to highlight some of the many gifts, talents and work performed in our little "village" of people. This article includes seven groups/individuals that we are placing in the "recognition spotlight" this season. Please take a few minutes to read about them! (Please go to "read more")
