World Peace and Prayer Day 2015 in the Rogue Valley

World Peace and Prayer Day/Honoring Sacred Sites Day is in its 20th year of international celebration. Ceremonies will be held under the guidance of Chief Arvol Looking Horse and Elders of the local Tribal Nations with prayers and offerings from attending Wisdom Keepers, Elders and honored guests. We encourage people of all Nations to step forward in recognizing the value of their own cultural roots and in so doing, reconnecting with the strengths and wisdom that all traditional cultures hold in common--our connection to each other and to the Earth.

Storytelling Conference Reflections, 2013

Our 8th Annual Native Storytelling Conference was a wonderful, magical success last weekend. When we gather once a year for these sacred, sweet, and often very funny stories, we allow ourselves an afternoon to step back into the important tradition of listening, learning and appreciating life lessons from stories of time immemorial. Each one has a significant and crucial role in the sharing of history--both cultural and physical, from the First Peoples of this continent.
