HELP OUR YOUTH EXCEL!
Springtime is for outdoor fun... we will meet for rounds of Shinny at noon, with dinner at 5:00, and then more games until dark. As usual, this is a family-oriented **no drugs or alcohol** event. Please consider bringing a dish to share for dinner.

Native Stickball Game (Shinny) Practice in the Park!
Come practice or learn Shinny, a Native stickball game similar to lacrosse. We are preparing for our next event--the Native Games Tournament, March 20, 2010. Weekly practices Sunday afternoons in the Park.
Shinny practice games in Park!
In preparation for the upcoming Native Games Event March 20, Red Earth Descendants will join with the Native American Student Union (NASU) of SOU and the Ashland Youth Council to hold practice games in Lithia Park most Sundays between now and the March tournament. Come and learn how to play the Native stickball game of "shinny." Open to all ages, genders and levels of playing. Shinny is fun and easy to learn!
NASU Native Cultural Sharing and Powwow
The fall welcome back powwow will take place on Saturday Nov. 21, at the Ashland Middle School gym. It will be preceded by cultural exhibits and UNTETE's corn festival.
