Greetings R.E.D. Community,
On Thursday, May 28 from 2-3:30 PM PST groups across the region are hosting “Land & Water Protectors Webinar: Fighting fossil fuel exports in the Pacific Northwest”. Can you and your organization help get the word out about this important webinar connecting fights including Jordan Cove LNG, Tacoma LNG, Trans Mountain Pipeline, and the Coastal Gas Link Pipeline?
If you can help get out the word about this powerful panel of Indigneous leaders fighting fossil fuel exports on their homelands, check out this partner packet here with example eblasts, facebook posts, tweets, and images from Klamath-Modoc artist Ka’ila Farrell-Smith. You can also register for the event at bit.ly/05282020.
From Wet’suwet’en territory to the Klamath River and beyond, these battles to protect communities from the harm of the fossil fuel industry and colonization are connected. The panel will share stories from their struggles against the fossil fuel industry & colonization, examine the connections between these battles throughout the region, and tell you how to take action in solidarity with their communities.
Speakers include Ka’ila Farrel-Smith (Klamath-Modoc Artist), Kanahus Manuel (Secwepemc and Ktunaxa), Brook Thompson (Yurok Tribal member), Thomas Joseph (Hoopa), Dakota Case (Puyallup Water Warriors), and a representative from the Gidimt’en Camp.
Please help us get the word out about this powerful webinar and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
